Everton sign Barcelona’s Yerry Mina and Andre Gomes

Marco Silva's Everton looked to be heading into the 2018-19 season having only strengthened with Richarlison and Lucas Digne, but on Thursday they found agreements with Barcelona for Yerry Mina and Andre Gomes, while Brazil worldwide Bernard signed on a free transfer following his Shakhtar Donetsk departure.

Three goals in three games for Colombia piqued Everton, Manchester United and Lyon's interest and has ultimately allowed Barca to almost treble the €11.8m investment they made in January.

And Mina was followed to Everton by Barcelona teammate Andre Gomes, with the Catalan club confirming his move on an initial season-long loan with a fee of £2m.

Everton have completed the signing of Brazil winger Bernard on a four-year deal from Shakhtar Donetsk.

Everton and Fulham stole the show on the Premier League's transfer deadline day, as both clubs welcomed several eye-catching signings. It is the best league in the world.

Mina already had a point to prove after a disappointing few months at Barcelona, and doubters like Thompson should gee him up further to be a big Everton success. "When I found out about this opportunity and what the manager wanted out of me I was happy".

"I have spoken a lot to the coach and I know his passion for Everton and determination to be successful". Everton agreed a €2.25m (£2.02m) loan fee for the 25-year-old, who now has a minor injury but passed a medical held in Barcelona, and will pay his wages in full for the season.

"Bernard is a great player, a player for the Brazilian national team, and I also followed his progress with Atletico Mineiro", Richarlison said on Wednesday.
