Fury vs Pianeta: British heavyweight not distracted by Deontay Wilder

Fury vs Pianeta: British heavyweight not distracted by Deontay Wilder

Fury made his comeback in June after two-and-a-half years out of the ring by overwhelming Sefer Seferi inside four rounds having shed in the region of 10stones in order to resume fighting.

The 33-year-old has claimed five titles during his 13-year career but has only had his hand raised three times in his last five fights.

Tyson Fury has dismissed any fitness concerns ahead of his fight this Saturday, where he takes on Francesco Pianeta in a ten round bout at Windsor Park in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

From what I've heard from the big man himself and his trainer, there's no reason to suspect anything other than a dominant and ruthless rendition from the man eager to win back the world titles he never lost in the ring.

"You've got the two heavyweights in Wilder and Fury who want to get it on, and whoever wins will be the No. 1 heavyweight in the world. In fact, we had one of Wilder's close friends who was also his sparring partner that helped him prepare for Luis Ortiz and he said, 'There's only one victor in that fight'". After having three years out of the ring and after ballooning to 28 stone and then down to 18 and a half stone - it's a bad awful uphill battle, to lose that weight is mentally and physically draining, to train continuously for 12 months, you have to have a want.

"I've eaten, slept and drunk boxing - I've done nothing else but box since November". I boxed in a football field in Germany but it had a roof on it, so to box outside, it's a new experience and I am always happy to take on a new challenge.

"If you're going to be in a fight you have to be fit anyway". I have a amusing feeling he is going to come swinging looking for big shots to try and knock me out. "I think it's because the fans think I'm one of them, I'm definitely a man of the people, for sure, 100 percent". "It's going to be a big fight".

But Wilder, who will be ringside in his role as a television analyst, is the real target for Fury.
