God of War New Game Plus mode arrives later this month

Sony revealed today that New Game+ will finally be making its way into God of War on August 20.

To find out more about God of War, keep an eye on its website.

To access New Game+, you will have to complete the story campaign of God of War on any difficulty. After that, the feature will be available once players have then patched the game with the New Game Plus update as well.

Sounds fairly meaty as far as New Game Plus modes go!

The much-requested feature can only be unlocked after completing the epic daddy simulator, after which it'll be waiting for you once the game has updated.

Anybody who has finished the game on any difficulty will be able to play in the New Game Plus more which will bring new gear, more hard enemies, the ability to skip cinematic and more. Kratos and Atreus' abilities, enchantments, pieces of equipment, resources, and talismans from your previous run will remain with you.

Play the game in a whole new way by exploring new customization options with extremely powerful new armor sets and enchantments. There is a new rarity level for equipment. Speaking of armors, you can collect a new type of resource called "Skap Slag" to give your gear the highest upgrade possible. Another note: the new cinematic skip option is unlockable for normal games, not just New Game+ - all you need to do is clear the game once.

Details and a release date for the promised God of War New Game+ have been provided by Sony.
