MANAFORT MAYHEM: Judge Ellis Receives DEATH THREATS, Now Traveling with US MARSHALS

Paul Manafort's trial will stretch into a fourth week, as jurors headed home Friday without reaching a verdict for the second straight day and the judge overseeing the case alluded to "threats" the jury may be receiving.

"Because this is a "paper case" with a number of charges, complicated financial records, and a lay jury not selected for its understanding of global financial transactions, we would expect a medium-length to long deliberation process - at least a couple days - simply for the jurors to work through all the evidence and discuss each charge separately", lawyer and professor Seth Abramson said in an email Friday.

Manafort joined the Trump campaign in March 2016 and served as its chairman from June to August of that year - a period that included the Republican National Convention, where Trump officially became the party's nominee for president.

I think the whole Manafort trial is very sad, when you look at what's going on there. But you know what?

Judge Ellis read the questions aloud to lawyers for both sides as well as Mr Manafort before he called the jury in to give his answers.

Rejecting the request about the jury, Ellis said "to do so would create a risk of harm to them".

Ellis, a famously prickly judge known for his colorful comments, has attracted considerable attention during the Manafort trial for his frequent sparring with the attorneys - particularly those on Special Counsel Robert Mueller's team. He faces 18 felony counts on tax evasion and bank fraud. If convicted on all counts, he could spend the rest of his life in prison.

Manafort's fate now sits with the jury, and after two days of deliberations, anti-Trump media outlets like CNN are becoming concerned Manafort could be acquitted, which would be a major blow to Mueller's credibility and his ability to remove Trump from office - an outcome the establishment media are desperate to orchestrate.

Judge T.S. Ellis III has expressed skeptical opinions about the government's case from the outset.

President Trump weighed in on the case Friday but did not say whether he thought Manafort was guilty or not. On Friday, he accused Mueller of having "a lot of conflicts", but said the special counsel should be allowed to finish a report on Russia's role in the 2016 election. Jury lists are considered to be public unless a judge bans any access to them.

The note only asked Ellis if the jury could complete their work at 5:00 p.m.in order to accomodate an important event one of the 12 jurors wished to attend. Trump also again called out Turkey, saying the country has been a "problem for a long time".
