Mi A2 Pre-Orders in India Starts Today on Amazon, Xiaomi Store

The chipset is paired to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Moreover, Xiaomi is confident that it will be able to deliver the latest Android 9 Pie to the Mi A2. Being a part of the Android One program, it comes with bone stock Android instead of MiUI, which you may love or hate. Xiaomi stated the event would be live streamed across all its portals including Mi.com, YouTube, Facebook, etc. Xiaomi India also confirmed that it would be giving away 100 F-codes to purchase the Mi A2 if a user registers to watch the live stream of the handset on Mi India website.

Mi A2 has a 5.99-inch full-HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixel resolution) display with 18:9 aspect ratio.

The Mi A2 launch has been scheduled for later today. Both the camera sensors at the rear have a f/1.8 aperture. The camera on the back side comes equipped with dual-tone LED flash and PDAF. Even the front camera uses AI to assist in all-round better portrait selfies.

The Xiaomi Mi A2 ships with Android 8.1 Oreo operating system.

It is backed by a 3,010mAh non-removable battery and comes with a 5V/2A power adapter.

The Xiaomi Mi A2 is certainly an interesting smartphone from a company that prides itself with a lower field failure rate. However, the device looks quite different from the Mi A1 since it now has a near bezel-less design. The Snapdragon 660 has eight Kryo 260 cores, and Adreno 512 GPU. The front panel has Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Connectivity options on the Mi A2 include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (dual-band, 2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, and a USB Type-C (v2.0) port - there is no 3.5mm headphone jack on the phone. It does come with an IR blaster though.

Mi A2 is exclusively launching Quick Charge 4.0 for Indian customers. But there's also a catch.
