Eric Trump: Woodward wrote book to 'make three extra shekels'

"The only people who refer to being paid off as wanting "extra shekels" are Israelis speaking Hebrew and anti-Semites speaking English outside Israel".

US Military Cancels 300 Million USD Financial Aid to Pakistan. The guy's a f...ing killer. "Suppose I need a favour, Donald?".

"The Woodward book is a joke - just another assault against me, in a barrage of assaults, using now disproven unnamed and anonymous sources", is one of President Trump's most recent tweets on the matter.

According to Woodward, nearly all of the interviews he conducted with Trump administration officials have been recorded.

"At the same time", it said, "strengthened security cooperation with Egypt is important to USA national security".

Independent monitoring groups have documented continued human rights abuses in Egypt over the past year, and one such organization, Human Rights First, condemned the announcement.

"In serving in this administration, the idea that I would show contempt for the elected Commander-in-Chief, President Trump, or tolerate disrespect to the office of the President from within our Department of Defense, is a product of someone's rich imagination", he added. "Green lights don't come much bigger than this". Egyptian police, the group said, systematically use "torture, arbitrary arrests and enforced disappearances to silence political dissent", according to a recent assessment. It is virtually assured of joining Michael Wolff's "Fire and Fury" as a million-selling takedown of Trump.

Barnes & Noble, meanwhile, said "Fear" has had the "fastest sales for an adult title" since July 2015.

Former White House staff secretary Rob Porter and onetime economic adviser Gary Cohn both pushed back against "Fear", which portrays a White House mired in dysfunction, with aides disparaging the Republican president and working to prevent him from making disastrous decisions.

Woodward shared a Pulitzer Prize for his Post reporting that led to President Richard Nixon's resignation in 1974 over Watergate.

Woodward's new book has drawn considerable attention for, among other things, the light it shines on the divide between the White House and the Pentagon.
